JEFF ROBERTS, A MOTORCYCLE RIDER FOR RIDERS
Jeff is a cyclist first and foremost. Beginning with his little Honda 50 at 5 years old Jeff came to love the feel of the air in front of him and the road below him as he cruised along on any type of cycle he could find. Knowing how to ride and being around bikes is a unique perspective for a personal injury attorney who represents riders. It allows Jeff to see the accident case through the eyes of the rider, and to catch the nuances missed by those attorneys who don’t ride motorcycles.
IT TAKES A CYCLIST TO EXPLAIN A CYCLIST
On two different cases in 2017, police reports faulted the cyclists for catastrophic accidents that left them severely injured. Jeff didn’t accept the police findings because they weren’t consistent with the behaviors and riding style of experienced riders, of which both of these clients were. Jeff refused to dismiss the cases when insurance companies, defense lawyers and judges told him they were losers. Instead, Jeff took both cases to trial, explaining to different juries how riders ride, how they react, and what they’re looking for when riding. In both cases the juries found the riders not at fault and awarded both riders over $1 million dollars for their injuries.
22 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND WINNING
Jeff began his career on the other side of things, working for a large insurance company defending people who caused accidents. After two years of helping people dodge their responsibility for causing accidents, Jeff knew he had a higher calling, to help those in need who were battling to recover money for injuries caused by others.
Jeff started The Roberts Law Firm in 1998 as a small personal injury only firm helping the little guy get big results. Jeff goes to trial when insurance companies refuse to pay fair compensation, and has consistently gotten trial victories one after the other. Jeff has been recognized for his excellent trial record by the American Board Of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) which conferred membership on him in 2017, a recognition reserved for only the highest echelon of trial lawyers. Jeff has been recognized as a Super Lawyer since 2013.
LOCAL BOY, LOCAL LAWYER
Jeff grew up riding motorcycles in the hills of Orange County and continued his dirt bike riding in the hills and deserts of Riverside County where he attended college at U.C. Riverside. After attending law school and graduating with honors from the University of Miami, Florida, Jeff returned to Southern California to practice law and resume his passion of riding motorcycles in the hills, sands and roads of his native California.
