Kirwan v. Gupta:
Last Offer: $525,000
An SUV turned left in front of an approaching motorcycle. The cyclist didn’t have time to avoid the collision and broke his leg as a result. The SUV driver claimed the motorcyclist was speeding. The jury found the left turning vehicle 100% at fault.
Villalobos v. Transit Systems
Last offer before trial: Zero
A charter bus turned left in front of a motorcyclist. The police report placed the motorcyclist 100% at fault. During the lawsuit, our attorneys conducted a detailed investigation with an accident reconstructionist and concluded that the bus could have seen the motorcycle and should have waited before turning left. At jury trial, the left turning bus was found to be 80% at fault.
E.P. v. Left Turning Toyota Prius
QQ v. Confidential:
A left turning vehicle with a stop sign turned left in front of our client who was traveling 25
miles per hour over the speed limit. Our attorneys argued that a speeding cyclist doesn’t give a
drive an excuse to run a stop sign.
